Quite quickly after releasing the AD08, Yokohama replaced it by the AD08R.
Now (just one year later?) they released the new AD08B with an entirely
new tread pattern:
Personally I wouldn't spend that amount of money on a hot hatch,
but at least the 2015 RS3 with its 367 PS 2.5T is quite interesting:

Looking forward to see some RS3 parts fitting the Mk.VII GTI . . .
Agree - I'd even bet it'll get FWD.
But why manual only? Ford have used the Getrag 6DCT450:

It takes up to 450 Nm of torque which is sufficient for the RS.
The graceful Jaguar Mk.VIII in Vertigo, the Lotus Esprit in the 1970's James Bond,
both Ferrari Dino and Aston Martin DBS in The Persuaders - just to name a few.
Many aftermarket intakes are known to plunder power and cause several other issues.
Somtimes better to go with OE parts. There's a "hot climate" intake/filter enclosure,
that can be easily adapted to the TSI/EA888 engine:

Let's talk about aerodynamics and have a look at serious some sportscars and current Golfs.
("Auftrieb" = lift; "Abtrieb" = downforce)
Some Porsches first:

downforce: 152 Newton front and 186 Newton on rear...
This Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing totaled by mechanic on a test drive:
The mechanic wasn't injured at all, but I guess he was shurely fired same day.
