Proud new owner! Evaluate my deal & extended warranty questions

Hey guys! I just got a 2008 gti with 54k miles on it for $13,900. I felt like it was a pretty good deal according to TMV. The dealer had the sticker price @ 16,900. It had brand new tires installed and 18" rims + the cosmetics are basically show room clean + clean carfax & inspection. Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Also Im doing some research and I was just curious about everyones thoughts about the extended warranty options? Best to choose silver, gold, platinum ect? 3 yr 36k miles or 5 yr 60k? What price did you get on yours? ect.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Edit- yes it's FSI

Don't know much on warranty but if you have a fsi it would be a good idea to get a little warranty cause of the cf and timing belt.

If you are going to spend the money on an aftermarket warranty (VW Certification is always preferable), go with the top tier. The term is up to you. If you drive over the US average (15k/yr) go with a longer one. If you drive under it, go with shorter, and you can always extend it later
