I'm in New Orleans, attending our Ride 'n Drive event for the BRZ.

Had a fair amount of seat time in the car today at NOLA, both on the open course and auto-x.

Anyone who thinks 200 hp isn't "enough" is a fool. This car is amazingly good feeling. Very tossable, utterly easy to control with the right pedal. Very balanced, little body roll, excellent steering feedback. They have a winner on their hands.

I have to sell the GTI though... so that's kinda sad. Just go it paid off too... Going to be my down payment on the BRZ. I thought about keeping both, but I just don't have a place for two cars.

They tried that shit on me when I got my 5.0. I told them it's a fucking Mustang and they can suck a bag of dicks if they want me to pay a penny over invoice. 6 hours later, I walked out with a price of 30,400 for the car...invoice was 32,800...msrp was 36,2xx.

I don't plan to pay more than MSRP for a BRZ or FRS, whichever I wind up with.

I don't know if anyone looked into this, or mentioned it for that matter, but from what I have gathered only the BRZ comes standard with a LSD. I found no info of the FRS having one, and didn't notice that it was a option.

If this has been covered, I'm sorry that I've missed it, I've only been able to read the first 2pages, I'll read the rest tomorrow.

It is standard, but oddly Scion has chosen to omit it from their specs listed on their website for the model, and Subaru makes it a point to mention it everywhere. Don't know if this was a simple mistake or if it points out differences in philosophies between the two manufacturers.

Two key things the BRZ has which aren't even available on the FR-S are standard HIDs and Navigation (though I can't say too much good about the Nav system), but maybe those items aren't imporant to some buyers.

That is odd they don't mention it, but every manual car has standard LSD despite make.

It is weird isn't it? Thats quite a major thing they're leaving out. I guess it shows that Subaru is more 'driving experience' focused than Scion/Toyota US. We might see this as the years continue, possibly they'll refine the current model with some more options.

Can't talk to much shit about Toyota/Scion, they are coming out with a hole host of TRD parts!

Pointless parts, the aftermarket for this car will yield better parts for cheaper prices. That's why I'm not so worried about it's power problem.

I especially can not wait to see what cool wheels and maybe a wider tire will look like on this cool car.
