?

yeah i have emailed them on this, it will work and by my understanding of what they vaguely said it just goes in the place of the OEM pump in the basket. or you can spend another 300 or so and get the boost controlled module. but they say this will work. like i stated when i was emailing them about this they were really vague on the install.

I tried to do some searching but are there low fuel limitations on the USP kit? 1/8th tank left like a few of the other custom solutions available?

They now released it for the TSI and paired it with APR Stage 3 and are showing some gains with it.

This is just me being intrigued btw. Im not trying to change out MY lpfp or anything.

i couldnt get them to say "yes it goes in stock location in the basket and will supply your power needs" they just said "sure and should be sufficient enough, but really look into the boost controlled module"

anywho for those who have cracked into your race cars and replaced all your rods and pistons do you guys get your stuff balanced and all that good work by machine shop or you just measure it all out yourselves and hone out your cylinders and new rings and blah blah yourselves?

oh and for some reason i dont get email notifications anymore from here.. phones been retarded.

What about running e85 with the FSI engine? I heard you only need rs4 injectors and then I've also heard I also need a better low pressure fuel system (USP). It would be sweet if I could run the ATP gt3071 kit with e85 (eurodyne tune) instead of getting a WMI kit.

Get everything balanced. Might as well do it right the first time

Conglomerate did it and burned up his hpfp and di injectors

Welp, I'm staying far away from that then. If you use drop-in rods, you dont have to balance anything, right?

Don't shy away just yet.

Do some research outside of the MKV community. I don't know nearly as much about tuning, fueling, and other related subjects as the majority that populates this thread, but something worth mentioning is that the properties of E85 cause it to "clean" the crap that is left in our tanks and lines, and it runs through our fuel pump and injectors, clogging them with that gunk. Due to this, going from 91 or 93 octane gas straight to 100% E85 with no preparation will ruin some fuel system components.

Port injection cars have issues with E85, too. Just not in HPFPs since they don't have one. You must clean your fuel system before attempting to use it, especially if you're going 100% E85. Mixtures are much easier to manage because the ethanol content is obviously diluted to a more tolerable mix.

If you want a good read, and very thorough research on DI E85 fueling, check out this thread on Mazdaspeed Forums. They are DI, and use the same HPFP as we do.

E85 Discussion

I figure it's worth a shot if we can make use of it on this platform.

I forget what company, but somebody makes an e85 kit for the MKV R32.
Might be a good place to start.

Bluewater Performance.

I read a pretty good thread on Vortex of someone using it. They said it was great aside from the gas mileage (obviously).

They were promising a kit for the FSI, but they didn't meet the scheduled date, and I haven't heard any updates since.

Edit: Not to take this thread off-topic, but a quick search yielded a nice thread on an S/C MKIV R32 using Bluewater's E85 kit with a UM tune. Before E85 he was making 329AWHP/265WTQ, and is now making 370AWHP/293WTQ.

S/C E85 MKIV R32

Gains worth the research if you ask me. DI increases effective octane of E85 as well.
