And you killing an evo 9 mr, who can drive none the less (I heard his shifts) is definitely a step in the right direction. I wish you the best of luck personally.

Agreed. The evo pulled hard in the beginning than just died out.

i can't take you seriously because that chic in your sig is GROSS

running untuned cars with bigger turbos is asking for a hole in your block

ive raced only 2 evos twice . one was an evo 9 no flash bolt ons lightly modded, and this one a few days ago almost the same. both had no tunes. they are still fast as shit untuned though, but id really love to run into a reflashed evo with stage 2 bolt ons and see how interesting it gets

Racing a tuned Evo will be a totally different story. I had an Evo IX with intake/MBC @ 23psi/TBE/tune and would consistently run 12.1-12.3 @ 114-115mph. I was putting down 324awhp & 320awtq on a low-reading Mustang dyno.

QFT.

It's like the difference between a GTI with intake and exhaust, and a stage 2 GTI with supporting mods. Pretty big.

Same times basically with a friends Evo 9 MR. Intake, 3" turbo-back, reflash, and a clutch kit, and he was running 12.1's and 12.2's ~ 112 with 1.7 60ft's.

A lightly modded tuned Evo 9 would pull rather harshly on his stage 2. There's just nothing you can do to make up that 7-10mph of trap speed.
