Ok, so this morning I go to start up my car and it stalls out. I'm thinking maybe I didn't give the fuel pump enough time to prime or whatever; this used to happen once in a while on my old silver GTI if it was cold and I just jumped in and tried starting it real quick.
So I let the key sit in the ACC spot for about 5-10 seconds before trying to start it again. This time the engine sounded like it was trying to turn over but it wouldn't catch. Tried again, still wouldn't catch.
So now I'm very confused. Last night I emptied out my catch can, so I pop the hood and check all the fittings; everything was attached fine, no problems there. I tried starting the car again and it starts up this time. Except it's very rough. The RPM's weren't varying or anything, like others have noticed during a rough idle, the car was just shaking. So I turn it off and am even more confused than before. Next time I started it up, turned over just fine, idled fine, and I was off on my way. No other problems for the rest of the day.
Anyone have any insight as to what happened? Should I be worried?
