and count to ten.

Anybody know what, if anything, this does?

Call me crazy, or superstitious, or stupid, but it seems to make my DSG shift more smoothly. Sometimes my tranny gets cranky (hard clunky shifts most noticable when manually shifting) so I do this and it seems to fix it! I don't even remember why I did it the first time!! :iono:

*waits for hails of derisive laughter*

(really though, it's weirding me out a little - seems to be consistently reproducable)

EDIT: I'm pretty sure this does nothing - sorry for wasting anyone's time :'(

Explaining what you're actually doing might (JUST might) help us figure out WTF you're talking about.

Sorry.

Turn the ignition half way so only the electrical comes on.

Fully depress gas pedal, past the soft-stop, all the way to the floor.

Keep it pressed for a count of ten (ten seconds). Various cluster lights will do things, and this will be followed by a quiet click sound from under the hood.

Release pedal.

Start engine as normal.

Whisper the name of your first cat three times

Not sure how you came to that procedure but it will be interesting to see the effects.

I might be wrong but I believe thats how you do the throttle plate adaptation or some shit. Throttle body alignment I think its called.

Thanks for the 6c.

i thought this reset the "learning" of the DSG.

I sorta feel like it's resetting the DSG logic. Do you remember where you heard this?

I have no idea what it's doing, but it sure feels like it's doing something.

Hi, I already made it and it sure changes a lot on how it changes from one speed to another, now when i hit the gas it responds instantly but now i think its a little bit more noisier.
