I happen to live walking distance away from Don (who's been selling vinyl on this forum) and decided to pick up some carbon fiber vinyl from him.

Straight to pictures.

1.4ft x 1ft carbon fiber vinyl and interior trims.


2. Zoom on CF vinyl and a useful tool on this DIY.


3. Cut it and cook it like CRACK.


4. Roll it up like a fat dutch. (Never knew this skill would come useful) :wink:


5. Results.

I tried to vinyl the center handle bar but failed.
But, I'm happy how the rest of it came out.

I was never a fan of CF but I wanted to do something inside and didn't want to do matte or gloss black vinyl.

Yeah, it was very easy to work with when thick CF vinyl turned to wax papers thin after heating it up with a hair dryer for about 3 sec.

I did this to the center trim, but the doors ar ea major PITA, I can't get the trim to fit back into the door, got any pointers?

Door trims were LOT easier than any other part I've vinyled.
Just cut the same length but add about 1/2 inch on the width, and follow my two step, heat it up then bend the vinyl.

I just did the center and the shift boot area, picture will be up in about 20.
