5dr, DSG, Leather, PDC, Tint, Colour Coded. (a few mods waiting to be
installed). Sorry best pictures I have at the moment ... been so busy
only done 40kms in it .. can't wait for the weekend !!!

MY07 Golf GTI
OK ... a weekend to drive it. Only did 300kms, but still bedding things in.


Comments/answers. (in no specific order of importance).
  • The parking sensors are factory fit.
  • The rear gets very dirty easily ... or so it seems.
  • The rear bumper being flat on top hold/traps dirt easily.
  • The rear rims get more brake dust than the front? .. or so it seems.
  • Center top vent buzzes at certain RPM. (yes I know there is a fix)
  • Cleaned rims and applied a Boat RV Wax http://www.meguiars.com/?boat-liquid-waxes/Boat-Rv-Pure-Wax I find it lasts longer than car wax as it must put up with harsher conditions.
  • Fitted Bootliner .. (why are these things soooooo expensive for foam?).
  • Ordered a couple of mods (intakes, new badges, short antenna etc).
  • Will be getting/fitting new headlight and side light bulbs.
  • No Line-in/Aux in my MY07 :frown: - sourcing parts to do it. Don't want iPod connector = expensive and inflexible.
  • Head unit doesn't play MP3's (my cousins $12,990AUD Hyundia does - for crying out loud VW - fix this !!!). Just says CD-ROM inserted and spits it out.
  • DSG is better when warm (only 3-5 mins driving warms it).
  • It's a freaking Turbo torque beast - either cruise in 6th @ 60kph OR blast off the line or in-gear leaving all those Foulcandoors in your dust :thumbup:
  • My 100% clean driving record is in severe jeopardy !!! hahahahahaha

Congrats mission!!

Harping on a point, the rear sensors miss low things like the front bonnet of a Porsche RS!! (long story)

The top of the bumper does get dirty. I'm thinking of getting a Caractere boot blend put on because of that.

No idea why the bootliner is expensive, but I got 1 anyway :D

Mine doesn't do MP3s either :(

It's a blast to drive, and I hope your driving record stays clean (fingers crossed for mine too)
