CANBUS Gateway

Hi Guys,

I've bought a Rev B RNS510 Unit and I imagine the CANBUS gateway will probably need to be upgraded as well (MY07 Gti had factory MFD2 installed)

Anyone got any good sources that I can order the gateway?

On eBay Can-Bus's are advertised for around $180.00 including an extortionate shipping cost from Europe, was searching last night :(

Then I'd have to find someone on the Gold Coast to re-program it, near impossible to find anyone here, I'd prefer to go genuine VW.

However because of this I'm considering the base model double din Alpine ($499 + adapters and fitting), no touch screen but does have iPod connector, bluetooth, aux in and will still utilise the steering wheel controls.

Putting my money conscious head on after-market may be the way for me.

Get yours scanned first.....you may not need an update. Recently put a revision 'K' gateway in with an RNS and the drain problem disappeared.

http://www.skodateile.cz/ - under $100 for latest can gateway shipped.

cruise down to brisbane. I am sure there are vw specialist mechanics that would help such as mike webber.
