17" Wheels, 18ZL/350MM, No modifications, No problem!

So, lots of people thought there isnt a 17" Wheel that clears the 18ZL Calipers.

Found one! ;)

Rays Engineering Volk Racing TE37.

Mine are off an S2000.

17x9 +65 with 30MM Front Adapters and 25MM Rears.

Final Specs:

17x9 +35
17x9 +40

245/40/17 Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs.

I have tons of clearance to the spoke, probably a good 15MM.

I also have a few MM from the closest calipet point to the barrel.

Will need to likely mount the wheel weights on the BACK side of the wheel, though i havent tested with the weights mounted on the spoke-side.

Keep in mind, thr TEs run a 12x1.5 Bolt Hole, so youd have to drill them out to 14x1.5.

There should be a few more. Some CCWs work, and ive been told some ADVANs. I have access to a set of ADVAN RSs, so ill give it a shot and take some pics too :)

Here are the pix! :)

Absolutely splendid wheels. Looking good!

Good news that you clear the larger brakes! How is the clearance with the +35 17x9's up front with things like the springs/shocks fender liners. Please say tons of room, haha. I'm interested in stepping up to wheels this wide but would like to run a larger tire like a 265.

Not a chance will you squeeze a 265 in there.

I have maybe like 7MM From the Front Strut, and the 245s were really pushing it on OEM Fenders.

Here they are on the SRS-TEC Wide Fenders (+25MM)

I mean, you want a 265, I don't thikn that'd happen.

Depends on the height you drive at I guess, it'd poke a fair amount.

Do you have front camber adjustment?

I have lots of camber adjustment and can probably get at or close to -3.0. I'm at -2.5 now and I have another quarter inch of adjustment to go. I love the poked look so don't care about that. I'm not dropped too much, maybe like 1.5" up front 2.0" rear, I can go up to an inch higher on both ends if I need too. My biggest concerns are on the strut side of the tire/wheel and what it touches. If there is room there then no big deal, I'm not afraid of having to destroy fenders or come up with something exotic like AE86 style fender, I love that look. From the sounds of things I would probably need a +30 offset to even have a chance though.

Looks awesome!

What adapters did you use? Do they have different sizes to help with the tire fitment issue?

I used a 1" Adapter all around. I could've used less in the rears, but they wouldn't have cleared my Studs.

I also threw a 5MM Spacer on top of the Adapter to give it a bit more clearance to the Bag. Makes me feel better about it, haha.

Hmm. Not sure. It's all about the inner diameter. I know CCW makes some that clear, and apparantly, TireRAck's own Wheel Brand "TR Motorsports" also has a set that'll clear.

Lightweight and cheap too, might be worth looking into.

There's also a few ADVANs that'll clear, not the RSs though I don't think. Though i'll test that out and let people know,
