Cam follower help, cant take off

I have problems removing the banjo bolt on the hpfp, ive read and tried all ways on the DIY and it wont come off!
Can the dealer replace that bolt or fule line with something easier to take off?

why are having difficulties...which bolt is it?

i noticed that if you let the car cool down for too long the bolts are harder to come off.

Yes it's possible using the later version fuel lines.

It's reasonable easy to do.
I bought the required updated fuel lines and rubber hoses off of ebay for less than $40. All you'll then need is the bamboo connector that you use to replace the banjo connector on the hpfp.

The banjo bolt is a triple square. I use a craftsman 1/4 wrench with 1/4 to 3/8 adapter to the triple square socket and it's a perfect fit and reach.

A dealer will charge upwards of $600 for the new fuel lines to replace the banjo bolt system.. $280ish for parts and $3-400ish labor(requires R&R of intake manifold). Not worth it imo, once you figure out the banjo bolt it gets much easier to do the next time.

Agreed, I can have the pump off and on again in about 20 minutes.

I use a snap on 1/4 inch fine tooth swivel head ratchet, a six inch extension and a 1/4 universal socket. Tape a 8M triple square bit into the socket. This setup seems to be the best way to get to the banjo head for me. Once you do it you will figure out its really not that big of a deal. It really isn't worth the effort to change out the fuel line, its just tricky the first time through.

I would seriously consider picking up the parts and doing the line swap. It took me literally 10 mins to pull my fuel pump and cam follower when I replaced mine.

When I first read the DIY on it, I didn't realize that it was only pre 08's that had the banjo bolt and I was pissed because I had to go buy some stupid ass tool for a simple job lol. But ya, rubber lines ftw!
