Just like the title says. I fitted a Gli front lip onto a 06 Rabbit. I acquired a gli front lip for 20 bucks painted so i could not pass this up. On initial measurements the lip sticks out about 2 inches from the front because the front end of the gti and gli jettes are more pronounced.
Bellow is my DIY enjoy !
Cut the Lip in half. From the two center mounting holes. Measure in 6 1/4" I put some blue painters tape so i can measure it correctly.
Get your hack saw and have at it. After the cut i test fitted it.
then you have to cut a little more then a inch off each side.
your two halves should look like this
test fit and tape to hold then poke the holes so you can mount it with the preexisting lip holes.
then just screw it in place with the original screws
and There you have it
then when your done . pop your hatch and tap the keg.
and admire your new lip.
