How many concerts have you been to?

I started a similar thread in another forum last year and the "Best band ever?" thread got me thinking about it again. It's clear that there are a lot of music fans here and we seem to fall into a relatively tight age range compared to the other forum which had an older crowd so I am curious about how many avid concert-goers we have here.

I went to my first concert in 3rd grade (Rod Stewart) and have kept the trend going ever since. One of the best stories was when I was in 4th grade and I went to the nurses office because I was falling asleep in class. She said "Why are you so tired? Are you having trouble sleeping?" and I replied, "I was at an Aerosmith concert last night and I didn't get home until 2am..." She didn't really know what to say.

I'm 29 and here's my list of all I can recall at this point:

The majority of these were over about 2 years... I also haven't been to a show in over 6 months but at times would go to more than a dozen in a month.

Edited for remembering some more. Alos, OP, i'm incredibly surprised over the similarity of bands we've seen lol. I've probably seen you at a couple of shows. Between NYC and Long Island there are always good shows.

Wow, looks like we have VERY similar taste in music. Seems like we may have been at a few of the same shows as well. I have been dying to see SKSK and Coheed and Cambria but my girlfriend doesn't dig most of my music and none of my friends do either... I'm not about to go to shows solo.

SKSK puts on a great show. One of the few bands i've seen that can scream just as well in live as they can on the cd. The guy from Senses Fail can't scream at all in concert. He' sings all the singing parts. I remember seeing them for the first time and they started playing Angela Baker and my Obsession with Fire and i got pumped for that opening scream and the freakin guy just sang it instead of screaming. I was pissed lol.
Coheed puts on an amazing show too. They're fantastic. I'm pumped cause next month i'm seeing them 5 times lol. I got tickets for their show at Terminal 5 and i'm so excited.
Wed - Second Stage Turbine
Thurs - In Keeping Secrets
Friday - Good Appollo
Saturday - Acoustic Show and Then later Sat Night No World For Tomorrow
That should be awesome. It sold out in minutes but i got tickets for me and my friend. Each night they're doing an album in its entirety.

I must have seen the dead several hundred times over the course of 5 years back in the day, Rush about 100, Yes and Led Zeppelin ~50. At least 1000 other quality and non quality bands back in the day as I used to be in the music business. I would see at least 15 bands a week when I was really in the scene.

Now, not so much as I have a wife and kid. Last band was Junky.

I would love to have a job in the music industry. I'd make a kick ass scout i think. I love going to shows and placing bets on what bands make it and stuff.
Any tips on how to break into that???

I've been to so many shows, that I can't count them honestly. Just between the festivals like Woodstock 99 and Lolapalooza and warped tour, Ozzfest, there would be a couple hundred bands. I'm 35, and have been going to concerts since I was a little kid (both parents are also musicians). So yeah, somewhere in the thousands I'm sure.
The last show I went to was a week ago... new band called Innerpartysystem. If you haven't seen/heard them, do it now...one of the best live shows I've seen in a looooong time. Very professional for a new band.
Here's one of their videos.
