Has there ever been a member in the forum that BLEW their engine? Friends ms3 blows

I am just curious..seems everyone here is stage 1 stage 2 /k04/3071R ect.. and it's incredible that our motors have held so well. Unfortunatly a very good freind of mines Engine blew up today . He has a 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3 with tbe/fmic/intake/ copp accessport. He called me nervous from a gas station that his engine was shaking like crazy... I drove over to see him and OIL everywere!!! Car shaking like crazy!!! It had 9200 miles on it and the wierd thing is that it just blew under 3k barely any boost :iono: . Anyways we towed the car to his house for now He's going to try to take everything off and go for warranty. I feel really bad for him..sux. He doesn't want to post it anywere unless mazda NA checks the boards and figures anything out. But I did come across this..thread

Has there even been one gti that has blown in this forum?

That's a shitty call to get, my friend called me when his old honda hydro-locked.

Just an observation, but it seems there are way more horror stories with the ms3 than other cars in/around our class.

I was about to say that before getting the GTI I almost got a pearl white speed3. People were telling me I was crazy to get a 200 hp car when I can get a tourqe monster like the speed 3 263 /280 wt. I am soo happy..

Because EVERYONE and their moms know that the ms3 is shit when you start really modding it. His isnt the first to blow, its not the second, and its not the tenth. I have heard of this MULTIPLE times, and its all with modded ms3's. hmmmmm, imagine that.

the 2.0t's are pretty stout, but yes, i've heard of some failures from this forum.

yes a rod gone bad doing i think above 380hp which is good lol

I know there was an R32 Guy on here who had his engine blow or something like that.

Never heard of any GTI's having that kind of harsh problem on this forum at least. But i have to show that Mazda Thread to one of my friends. He feels bad that he got the A3 instead of the MS3. (dont ask) Hopefully this will change his opinion.

that makes no sense, not to start any wars or anything but the audi is a much better car

thats a bad turbo from factory, shit happens...

but several engines blowing means they have some issues, how many gtis there are stage I stage II and beyond? and they are holding pretty decent, and you can see the usp gti with 600whp only has rods lol
