While that looks to be the same connector, I cannot locate the female end that it is to plug into after checking the entire area in your picture. My car somehow doesn't seem to have it. Do you know what this connector controls exactly?

I recently took a look around my engine bay (car is new to me) and noticed a wiring harness was not connected right behind the passenger side headlight (left side when facing the front of the car). I haven't detected any symptoms of this problem yet. There also is no visible place to plug it in...
