splash guards, yey or ney?

hey guys honest opinion please.:iono:

I'm not planning to put on votex body kit as of yet, i need a deeper pocket for that... anyways, what do you guys think about installing a splash guards?

any pics from anybody?

i tried looking for a thread on diy on these but no luck. anybody?:iono:

I had them on my black rabbit from factory, color matched and everything but the minute I had the wheels off they were gone. They make the car too bottom heavy looking IMO. But hey it's your car do what you like.

I have them all around on my gti, i mostly like the rear ones just fits with the car more then the front, but thats just me that i like the look of them and they are usefull when driving in lot of rain

All depends on where you live, if you see slush and snow then a deffinit yes. If all you get is rain then I would say a deffinit no.

With the slush and snow I think it helps decrease the likely hood of getting ice and now built up in the door and bending the door skin out.

I don't see why not..
i don't understand why everybody saying no!!!! to something they didn't even tried..
I have a pair of the splash guard painted to match the color.
I'm trying to install them but only concern i have is it is too low..
(just have less than 3inch from ground.)
They look really good and yes i'm a fan of splash guard.
here is a pic of splash guard test fitted few month ago.

I left car in the shop today to lower the front and raise up the rear lil bit.
And I just called him to install the rear splash guards same time.
So as i pick up my car, I'll take and post pics.
