air bag fault light

so when i started the r32 today, i got a yellow warning light and a message that reads "airbag fault" WHAT THA FAAAAAKKKKK!?


i took it to the dealer and they said the entire drivers airbag must be replaced. i was like wtf!? how!? why?! they said its a rare problem and while it has no risk of blowin up randomly in my face, it may not work properly in a front end collision.

anyone else have this issue? what causes it? i just parked my car in the garage last night, it was alll fine, woke up this morning and im faced with this shit when i start the car. what gives!?

I had a problem with my passenger air bag sensor, they have to replace the seat....I'm happy cause my gf's huge purse scratched it a little on one side. That purse is not allowed near the .:R ne more.

1st step is usually to remove/replace the connector for the side airbag (n199/n200) before replacing the bag.

Hope the installer reinstalls the seat cover correctly, they can be a real bitch.
