I know this thread was long time ago but I need some help!!
I just got installed an aftermarket navi unit and the person doesn't know where to connect the dimmer switch properly. At first he didn't install one so the buttons on the side of the navi didn't light up, which I didn't like. Then when I got someone to install the dimmer switch, the screen is way to dull and the buttons on the side are always on. But the weird thing is when I put the parking break up the screen goes back to normal, how it was before the dimmer switch.
Where do I get them to wire it for the screen to be bright and just to have the buttons on the side turn on at night with the lights?? This is so confusing.
