I suppose I'll post some pics of mine...
Interface: 8" Touchscreen LCD (VGA)
Source: PC with 160GB HD and Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS (running XP)
Processor: Kx Project drivers with full DSP control
Amps: PPI Sedona 630IX (circa 1992), Alpine MRP-M500
Speakers: Pioneer 305DVC 12" sub, Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5's (midbass), Dayon RS100's (midrange), and Infinity 105t's (tweet).
And how it all looks when the hatch floor is in:
Also, my PC interface in the "switch" panel near the shifter:
Build is totally budget oriented and centered around the CarPC. I've got everything on it now. Sirius, web radio, internet, MP3 playback, video playback, Garmin GPS, FM radio and build in web browsing. I spent very little on the equipment, but if you listened, you'd never know it. The sound card in the PC coupled with the Kx driver and the old school (quality) PPI amp give me a great sound stage and excellent sound quality. I'm using time alignment, phase controls, EQ, and driver matching (levels) now. Plus the 3-way setup really brought my staging to were I wanted it. No rear fill either.
Everything is done stealth as possible to preserve the OEM look. The only thing that you see is the subwoofer and the sub amp on the back of the seat, which sits behind the woofer so you don't even see that really. Speakers are all in OEM positions, hatch floor is raised a bit to fit the PC and PPI amp, and the screen is in a custom made bezel that fits into the OEM double din slot. Also, since these pictures were taken, I've cleaned up all the wiring and made a case for the PC that still fits under the hatch flooring.
