TPMS (tire pressure monitor) problem

Gti from 2006.

Suddenly today the tire pressure monitor indicator shows up in the display. Normaly one just presses the SET button, however this did not help this time.

How do I faultfind this system? Any suggestions?

Mhm low tire pressure?

If you reset them and you still see the indicator I would check to make sure the tires were not low on air.

Lol funny how we all jump to a technical problem right off, last time it went on for me I got my VAGCOM out, only to discover, yes, I had a low tire. I'm actually glad I went to the extra expense to put TPMS sensors on my track wheels as well.
