could this be the case for everyone else with the battery drain problem? i'm awaiting my unit and i have sirius radio, so further information would be helpful
This is all the info I have right now. But, you might want to advice a technician before installing.

Dreny, I'm very interested in this new device, but I don't wanna buy a pig in a poke. So you have to provide pictures of the front, the GUI and e.g. pictures of the can-bus-controll (MFD).
Battery Drain Problems
With reference to the recent post on battery drain and the Siruis sat radio modual this is a possibility, but I think small. the diagrams show that the power feed to this modual is the same line (fuse S8) as the radio, but it is not controlled by the radio, but by the "CanBus Controll modual" which signals it to sleep when the ignition is off, . The sat radio modual powers the active antenna's for this system.
I posted last week that VW themselves have this problem with radio/canbus controller missmatches leading to battery drain and their solution was an updated CanBus controll modual, and this may be what the previous member meant when he said that VW changed another modual.
I would suspect this, if it is at all related to a VW components.
But I would say it is 99% for sure a faulty canbus system that is installed in the radio which is not putting it properly to sleep.
There is an other possibility on NON Sat Radio Systems and Mk2 > units.
In the beginning I think mrx or kv12 measured 12v coming out the radio on the positive line of the Antenna of Mk1 units. (i did not have this 12v on my Mk1 when I measured mine).
There is a reason for this as the OEM unit does the same to power some of the active Antenna systems installed by VW.
The Twin Fakra adapter does the same, and if you use the blue pcon as the power supply connection then when the radio goes to sleep, this feed to the antenna is cut, as it does in the OEM setup.
So, on this note, can some one measure the voltage on the centre line of the antenna line at the radio with power on and off.
It just maybe that the MK2> radio@s internally is still powering the active antenna amplifiers when the radio is supposed to be in sleep mode.

Hi Everybody,
This is my first mail in this forum.I'm from Turkey /Istanbul
I have W6050 version 3. I relalised that most of the problem solved in version 3, except rear camera issue.
I have exactly same problem with Rody's
When in DVD, Radio, BT (White-pages) and switch into gear it gives stripes.
When in Camera or DTV (Yellow-pages) and switch into gear it is OK.
I will sent photo's as soon as possible
I would like to thanks to Oscar and to other people who are help the new w6050 users.

It seems there are a number of previous releases which are plagued with problems. Where can we buy the newest model of this unit? Does Waywell supply the newest model? Is there an Australian distributor you can buy these from? I tried Auspack but they haven't got back to me from about 2 weeks ago...I assume they're no longer in business.
