You do know shotgun shot is hollow right? When it hit somethings it just smashes flat and dumps all its energy. This is how it injures people as well as why it won't over penetrate.

Those tests are also assuming rooms are complete empty - which they're not unless the house is still being built or the person is a minimalist :lol:
