Lol.

Did anyone else notice how bad officiating was tonight? They sure missed a bunch of calls including the one where one of the Orlando players knocked the ball out of bounds but they called it on Cleveland.

So what's with the MVP having no class and not shaking any hands? Your team did not show up and got beat, be a man and own up to it.

And this gem from Yahoo sports:

Afterward, James put on headphones and stormed out of Amway Arena.

He skipped the news conference and briskly walked down the corridor with two security guards as escorts. He plopped into a chair to be scanned for the team’s charter plane ride, grabbed his bags and was gone—a special season ending in stunning disappointment.

I was getting kind of sick of the puppets, but I doubt they will stop just as I have to keep seeing KG in the Gatorade ones.

Had to turn the computer off last night and pretty much just face the music...sucked.

Anyway, yep. Of course I noticed it...probably more so in a bias way. But that goes back to Orlando being the home team I guess. On the one you're talking about, Lewis sold it to the ref pretty good and it's obvious the ref wasn't watching to see who knocked the ball out. If you ask me, the reffing went the exact opposite of the way the conspiracy theorist claimed it may, and ended up favoring Orlando. Thus further proving that the NBA isn't fixed. Hope that ends the way a few of you think the game works.

I don't think Lebron leaving had anything to do with being a poor sport. He's been a good sport and has been pretty much a positive well mannered/respectful player his whole career thus far. I think he was just overwhelmed with emotions for a million and one reasons. His support system, which had been there all year for him, flopped in the postseason. Going to be real interesting to see if Clevo goes out to get him some support at center. If Danny Ferry doesn't get him some support, I think it's going to be difficult to talk him into staying. They thought Mo Williams was the answer to that, as he went to the all-star game, but later flopped in this series. Out with Z, Big Ben says he'll retire (that's a good thing). Hopefully we can free up some money. In the locker room, when they close the doors for the first few minutes after the game, all Lebron would say is that he wanted them all to know (his teammates) that they meant a lot to him....and then he went off to the bus.

Did you guys happen to catch the post game report when Reggie and Sir Charles both stated they hope Lebron stays in Cleveland, and that the small market needs him. Reggie prided himself in playing for the small market for 18 years. So I thought his perspective was cool.

Edit: I can't wait for Thursday. Hopefully this one goes seven games. Sir Charles was the only one that said Orlando would win it all, while Kenny and Reggie said the Lakers.

James is a big baby

That's easy for you to say and a gross generalization. The fact is, Lebron is still a 'baby'. People tend to forget that it wasn't long ago that he was in high school. No one (media and opposing players included) likely hold the opinion that Lebron is a 'baby'. Quite the contrary...most members of the media and opposing players commend him for how well and how professionally he carries himself at such a young age.

You and everyone else here (myself included) have no idea the kind of energy and commitment professional athletes pour into their game....we may think we have an idea, but we don't. I'm sure he'll talk to the media in time.

.

I though it was the opposite. I've watched pretty much every post-game analysis on ESPN and other networks, and I thought the media gave LeBron so much flack because he "couldn't close the game." The worst one was how badly Skip Brainless ... err ... Skip Bayless gives LeBron James so much crap about his 4th quarter performances. The only exception was after his game two's winning three pointer. I thought that's just over the top since he'd been scoring in the high 30's and 40's except for last night.

I mean really? What does he have to do, score ALL the points they need in the entire game? Cleveland was just out-matched and James really needed a lot of help especially down the middle. Varejao couldn't guard Howard, nor did that fossil Wallace.

I said it after Cleveland swept Atlanta, that they were largely untested. That they were beating on teams that really wouldn't have made the playoffs if they were in the other conference. I said that either Orlando or Boston would take them out, and lo and behold, it happened.

About Reggie playing in the small market, that's cool if you wanna be big fish in a little pond. I think LeBron is a good player and should consider another market if he wants to win a title. He's most likely not gonna do it in Cleveland and not under that coach. I thought it was weird on one of the games when they had a shot to win the game and Mike Brown wasn't the one drawing up plays. What was that about?

James needs a lot of help and a better bench. We'll see because New York is on the hunt. I really hope he doesn't get comfortable in Cleveland and goes somewhere else, he deserves it.

You can't fix a game that isn't close. Superstars still get the benefit of the calls 90% of the time. The only reason game 5 went to OT was because LBJ was given the line. David Stern and the officials can only go so far in trying to sway the game without it being totally obvious, which it almost has been in previous years. Cleveland never deserved going to the Finals before, and the Heat were given a championship. If you look @ the officiating in both of those cases, it's hard to say the league didn't try to pick the winner.

LBJ is a poor sport, and a poor leader. You never blame your teammates for a loss.

On a side note, Reggie stayed with the same organization and never won, so maybe taking his advice isn't such a great idea.

Skip Bayless is a cock...he definitely has a hard on for Ohio. He's still bitter about the Buckeyes beating Miami in the BCS championship game.

Bron is not a baby anymore, its his sixth year in the league. And when you get whopped you take your licks and move on. Did a certain Laker player not say a few days ago "they kicked our butts tonight."

I am a fan of Bron as he is going to be a great player for years to come, but stop defending the guy, he is paid millions and millions of dollars to put a round ball through a hoop., pressure or not, you don't go out like that.

Man up, swallow your pride, shake hands with your gold medal teammate, talk to reporters, get on bus, fly home, enjoy the summer in your big house, profit.

If that 'certain Laker player' you are referring to is Kobe (I don't know if it is or not, I didn't see/hear the clip) give me a break?!?!? Kobe is widely regarded as one of (if not THE) biggest crybaby in the league.

I will say that Lebron should have exchanged a few handshakes/hugs with some of the Magic players. Talking to the media? I'm sure that they'll get their soundbites this week.

What I think is hilarious about the Lebron bashing is that I'm betting the only people who care that he walked off the court without shaking hands or leaving the lockerroom without talking to the media are the fans and...the media. I'm betting the majority of the Magic players understood what was going on his his head. I'm also betting that he reaches out to all of them in one or way or another...if he hasn't already.

Yep. In an interview Dwight Howard already said it was no big deal that Lebron walked off and that they'd be talking.

You're always going to have your haters though. As far as someone talking about him being a poor sport in the locker room, what are you talking about? He talked to his players, assured them of how much they mean to him, and walked onto the bus. So what. What's wrong with that? I'm sure there's not one other player in that locker room that felt like shooting the shit over a cup of tea. As kyle stated, the only ones talking about it are the media and a few outsiders here that have no idea what kind of character Lebron has...and they only time they see him is come play off time. The guy's a class act and community involved leader in a whole lot of different ways. I'd be willing to bet that he wanted the championship for Cleveland just as much as he wanted it for himself himself. Not to many other players you can say that about...if any. He knows the importance of a championship to this city. And if you're not from Cleveland, then chances are you don't get it. And if you are, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.
