HID Ballast

I've been having trouble with my driver's side headlight. From all the signs, I've been led to believe it's the ballast that is bad. The bulb will light up if I haven't used them for a few hours, but no more than 10 seconds later, the bulb will start to flicker and then go completely out.

Anyone have input on this before I go buying the wrong things?

have you switched headlights before? i blew a HID once and my ballast burned up because i installed them wrong. Also it may have come loose. If you are familiar with the process and assembly id suggest removing the bulb and assembly as its all in one and seeing what the contacts in the ballast look like. (mine were all charred up). Then re assemble it and see if it fixes the issue. *warning... if this is your first time servicing the bulbs its gonna suck putting it back together.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. I haven't changed the bulbs yet, but I've been planning to upgrade anyways, so this could be the perfect time.
