Mine rarely makes sounds, but once in a while he'll put out a warning tone in the middle of broad day light..

Harvey is 5. They do get large. I have him for 7 months now, My friend had him in a 20L glass tank WHICH IS NO GOOD and I now have him in a open box 3'x6' indoor and the outdoor set up is 6'x15'. They are great but they need the proper care. My friend neglected it and now its in a better home with me. Since I had him in the new enclosure he grew 2" in 5 months and the out door pen isnt finished because the cold is coming and he will stay indoor. They get to be 100 lbs plus and live 75 years or longer.

Exactly why I'm showing him red foot tortoises and leopard tortoises since they stay much smaller. The pen size required to keep a fully grown sulcata is not an easy thing to accommodate in the average home. Putting them in anything smaller isn't fair to them and not having them penned up isn't a good option as they can be destructive.

As it is I have wood work to replace from Falcor ( white headed boston ) being a puppy and teething. Also vinnie the parrot tore a section of the kitchen cabinet off when he wasn't being watched so that needs to be fixed too. The wife is weary of anything that can chew or dig coming into the house now. geckos and snakes are an easy sell though Been thinking about three nice enclosures in the spare room, one for the ball python, one for some crested geckos and one for either a rainbow boa or a green tree python. Something colorful.

This is my recent rescue from the animal shelter. She is lucy, 6 yrs old, and does not stop purring. I am not a cat person (my fiancee is) but we live in an apartment right now so it is a better fit than a dog. We just went in and asked what was the next cat due to be put down due to not being adopted.
