Saw those twice on the road....really kinda odd looking since its clearly a "Mini", but its HUGE.....by Mini standard....

I really wanted a Mini a year ago or so, but it wouldn't fit my needs.
I could have gotten a Mini as a second car, but paying two insurance bills plus making room for and maintaining two cars just didn't make sense for me.
So, when I saw that the Countryman was coming out - I got pretty excited.
I even got to check one out in lower Manhatten at a preview.
Very nice.
Ultimately, I decided to go for the GTI because I reasoned it would be more fun to drive, (I wish they didn't choose to make the Countryman tall) powerful, and probably less expensive.
Still the Countryman is a really nicely done vehicle.

They look bigger in person for some reason, I guess sitting at GTI level the high beltline gives off that impression...

I love the mini Minis, but I must agree, this thing is ugly. But better looking than anything like it made in the US.

Similar to the Tiguan, I think it would look awesome dropped - not necessarily slammed, but definitely dropped.
