Yeah absolutely...I would just be looking for a different job in a different location.
Yeah. I know..but it is what it is. I have to support her either way. As much as I hate what she's doing, I understand her point of view and I love her very much.Yeah absolutely...I would just be looking for a different job in a different location.
I am just freaking out and have been having anxiety for a bit since this started to come into fruition.
Man...why are you freaking out so much? It's not like she has a gambling problem and steals your money to go buy crack. You didn't stumble across a sex tape on a porn site where she was gang banged. She is growing up. Next chapter in life. That takes balls. There is no guarantee that this is going to work out. There is also no guarantee she won't get hit by a bus tomorrow. That's life. Rid yourself of this selfish nonsense and get excited for her or risk jeopardizing what you have.
$1,100/year, wtf? it's per month! This lease is NOT too expense, by any means, if she is paying $1,100 a year. Well within her budget.
her base is 45k. she's in sales. she prob makes minimum 50, and depending on sales...i mean she JUST started in April with not a lot saved up prior, but depending on sales, it could reach 60.typo - i know - but if she is pulling 60 her take home is at least 40ish putting $1,100/month well below the 30% standard guideline.
^ what do you mean by that?she will be fine. Seriously. If she doesn't exceed her base she is still right at the federal recommendation for housing assuming a take home around 33k.
Very true man. I understand it's not my business, but because I care about her and her future -- I had to get how I felt off of my chest. I won't bring it up again, and I will support her and her decision. The general recommendation is that housing not exceed 33% of your net income. Right now she probably isn't saving anything for the future. My calculations of her estimated Net included a 401k contribution BTW. But, she is just out of school and QoL is often more important then. She isn't going to go broke, she isn't going to go into more debt, she will make more over time, this isn't a big deal.
Also, this isn't your business. Unless you are planning on marrying her in the near term, its her deal, not yours.
