I do the same. 21 years of driving:

2007 VW GTI
2014 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI
2016 VW GTI*
2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1*

the only car I didn't hold past 150k miles was the TDI. I absolutely loved that car, but when VW offered the buy back, it was for more than I bought it for. The options were:
A. keep the car (worth about $14k at the time) and get a check for $6k
B. Turn in the car and get a check for $29k

So basically my GTI was free.

Nice. I remember some episode that strikes me as especially salient in todays world, where zim learned about germs and could see them with some special glasses and he was going all crazy cleaning everything lol

Always wanted an EP3 but they are hard to find clean. Settled for a regular civic at the time

I do the same. 21 years of driving:

That’s how I ended up with my TDI. Original owner turned it in after diesel gate and I bought it after it was fixed. Only had 30k miles on. Piece of shit slave cylinder failed at 40k so it’s in the garage waiting to be fixed. It’s a fun car tho and love the diesel MPG and torque.
