14 years of driving, not a lot of variety in ownership here. But I didn't have much growing up, so I stuck with what I knew and had parts for.

2001 VW Golf (2.0 AT)
1990 VW Golf (mk3 2.0 swap, 5MT)
2004 VW Jetta wagon (2.0 5MT)
2010 Mazda 3 (2.5 6MT)
2000 VW Golf (2.0 5MT)
2019 VW GTI (2.0T 6MT)

Combine with my wife's 2018 Mazda 3 (2.5 6MT), and we have a nice array going. The '04 is my autocross car, the Mazda is my daily, and the GTI is my attainable dream car/weekend fun car. Her 3 is her autocross car (HS) and daily, and additionally serves as the more comfortable car in our fleet. Wife wants a Miata, but space is a bit of an issue at the moment.

Wait for the used market to settle and pick up a 19+ Miata Club. It's one of the best sports cars ever built.

Chances are pretty high om about to inherit a 87 fiero formula with 17k original miles. Idk what the fuck id do with it lol. Its so low miles but really sat for the last 15 years so probablt needs a fuckton of work

‘87 means that parts will be cheaper than mine were.

I don't mind the jokes, and drop a few myself, but we (as a whole) aren't that far from this.

Cars are just inherently a "dude/bro" thing but that doesn't really excuse the behavior. I also get the feeling that if any one individual pushed back on this they would quickly become a pariah.
