so the official pre order prices are $209.99 for the 8" and $229.99 for the 10"?

Yes, you are correct there - making the $50 deposit locks ya into those prices. ;)

How long are the preorder prices going to be available? Thanks!

We're going to run the pre-order until the enclosures are ready for production. Once we're there we'll start filling the pre-orders and then the enclosures will go up to there introductory prices and you'll be able to purchase them directly from our site.

We'll try to give a heads up once we have an pretty good idea of when we're ready for full production - right now we're waiting for the baffles to be CNC'd and final touches on our install guides.

We paid for vendor fees, just waiting for it to be processed and then we'll have a thread in the vendor for sale section with more details. Hopefully we'll have some in car shots either late today or tomorrow showing the fit and finish installed. :)

We're still trying to figure what will work - For JL Audio's lines - the W0, W1 and W3 fit no problem - the W6 fit our first test enclosure but that was without the rubber surround on the magnet and it appeared to be touching barely.

It's not a depth issue, more of a magnet diameter and overall mounting depth. I'm pretty sure we can get a W6 to fit it we regulate the glass thickness right in that area.

It's considered an open mold so if the glass operator adds too much in one area you'll be a bit thicker.

We're going to be testing these first couple we get to see if we can narrow it down a bit better.

Basically if you have a sub that you're looking at we need it's overall mounting depth and magnet diameter to determine fitment. We can build a cardboard template of it's profile to "test" fit in an actual enclosure.

Hope that helps some, let us know if there's anything else! :)

Being that it fits a W6 would mean that it has enough clearance for a Type-R. Well then, I might just pony up and get one!

On any of these larger subs (W6 & Type-R) we're going to need to take a closer look as it doesn't take much before it won't fit. There just isn't much room for the subs magnet in that cubby - the wider the magnet the more chance it has to hitting the side of the enclosure.

Here's the issue - In this pic (circle) you can see how the enclosure comes out and around the wheel well. There isn't much room here for a really wide magnet as it has to fit down in the channel where there's depth.

Here's a couple in car shots for ya. The 10 inch version is still missing it's small vinyl piece - basically on the right side of the subwoofer we're going to have a small black vinyl piece that mounts to the enclosure and helps to flush the side of the sub in - just a cosmetic thing :) We're still waiting on those to be made.
