The other thing I do with my intakes that i dont think anyone else does, is add a custom sized airflow straightener to give the maf a good signal.

How about a turbo discharge pipe for the FSI? Similar to what Neuspeed makes possibly. Seems like Neuspeed ($$$) is the only option for discharge pipes for those of us with the FSI engine.

for which part? Really depends on whether or not you would need a harness extension (tsi), whether that extension would be ordered as a splice in vs plug n play, and if there was an airflow straightener added or not.

id love to have that intake. and to me it looks like the hood shock thing doesnt need moving

One thing to keep in mind with the intake is that you will need full solid engine mounts. It's super close to the hood and the stock mounts move enough to where the pipe would hit the hood.

I ran eric's passenger side intake on my fsi with the BSH poly mounts and never had a problem.
